How Remote Help Works

Fixed in three simple steps

No driving, no dropping off your computer, no waiting for days. Wherever you are in the world.

01

Tell me what's wrong

Call, text or send the form. Describe the problem and I'll tell you how I can help and what it will cost.

02

Connect securely

I walk you through a safe, one-time remote connection. You see everything I do on your screen.

03

Problem solved

I fix the issue, explain what happened, and share tips so it doesn't happen again.

You stay in control. The connection is encrypted, only works while you allow it, and you can end it with one click. Need someone in person? On-site service is available in the DC metro area.

Meet Your Technician

Hi, I'm Qais, the Q in Q The Geek.

Technology is supposed to make life easier. When it doesn't, it can stop your whole day, whether that's a laptop that won't start before a big meeting or a server that goes down while your team is waiting.

I'm Qais, an AWS certified IT professional and Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP, MCSA and MCSE) with more than 13 years of experience. I've helped families recover photos they thought were gone and helped small businesses move to the cloud. When you contact Q The Geek, you get me directly. There's no call center and no ticket queue, and you won't be passed from one person to the next.

I'll explain what went wrong in plain English, fix it while you watch, and make sure you know what to do if it happens again. Most of my clients keep coming back, and that's the part of the job I'm proudest of.

I had a seemingly hopeless situation with a 2 year old Macbook Pro with the 'white screen of death.' I had tried everything so gave The Geek a shot and sure enough, he found the problem (faulty wiring from the hard drive), ordered the part, installed it and saved all my data. All with a smile and amazing service. I highly recommend The Geek for any/all IT related issues.

FAQ

Questions people ask

Don't see yours? Call or text (945) 226-2615 and ask away.

Is remote support safe?

Yes. I use an encrypted, one-time connection that only works while you allow it. You watch everything on your screen and can end the session at any moment. I never access your computer without you.

What do I need to get started?

Just a computer that turns on and an internet connection. I'll walk you through a quick download that lets me connect. It takes about two minutes.

What if it can't be fixed remotely?

Most software problems can be fixed remotely. If it's a hardware issue like a failing drive or broken screen, I'll explain your options. On-site visits are available in the DC metro area.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the problem. You get a free estimate first and approve the price before I start, so there are no surprises. Businesses can also set up an ongoing support plan.

Do you work with clients outside the US?

Yes. Remote support works anywhere with an internet connection, so I help homes and businesses around the world. Just tell me your time zone and we'll find a time that works for you.

How can I pay?

Credit card, PayPal, Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, Stripe, cash or check.
